Following the example of similar projects initiated by Jeff Bezos, Richard Branson and Elon Musk, Andrea Iervolino, director and founder of the international production company Iervolino Entertainment (IE) and domestic Iervolino Studios for the production of animated content, announced the opening of a new business unit Space 11. This the revolutionary company aims to produce film, TV and online content, but also music and sports events, entirely filmed in space.
Space 11, a subsidiary of the IE Group and the first company dedicated to the development of entertainment formats and events in zero gravity, was born from Andrea’s idea to move entertainment beyond the Earth’s atmosphere, similar to companies that design accommodation and recreational facilities for space.
“At the moment, even the very thought of a project of this magnitude may seem too futuristic and impractical, but technological progress is happening so fast that it is believed that all this will be possible in a relatively short time. Great entrepreneurial minds and artists like Elon “Musk and Tom Cruise have been groping the ground for some time and exploring possible communication tools in space. My prediction is that by the first half of 2023, we will already be able to realize the first live event, somewhere in space,” said Andrea Iervolino.
In order to accomplish this revolutionary mission, Iervolino has already begun hiring top associates, including leading engineers in the sector, astrophysicists, astronomers, and technicians, who will systematically study all the means and methods needed to create something so unthinkable and unique.
In addition, Space 11 has partnered with the Elon Musk Space-X program and the Gall Hassin International Center for Astronomical Sciences in Sicily, whose former employees will be on the company’s Advisory Board. The first project will probably be a sports event, and preparations will begin this summer.
